A little about the Track Owner and Family:
Rick and Julie Magnuson purchased West Siloam Speedway in October 2005. When Rick heard of some area tracks closing and selling for land development he could not stand the thought of dirt track racing dying out in the area.
With much work needed to be done to the existing track that has not been raced on for a few years Rick went hard at it. Rick first scraped the track surface down, sifted all the red clay, widened the track to 65 feet making it for some exciting racing with the possibilty of 3-4 cars abreast coming out of the turns. Rick then enlarged the pits. He has installed all new lights and PA System. He built new concessions and tower along with new restrooms on the grandstand side. Something new that has never been at West Siloam Speedway is bleachers in the pits.
Rick and Julie have a daughter Cassidy. Julie has a son Chad. Rick has 2 other children Josh as many of you know raced in the Cruiser class at TVS and a daughter Holly that lives in Springdale. Rick's son Josh will be no stranger at WSS as he is helping his dad out and will be learning all area's of the track.
